===== How to upgrade my gateway with 3.1 embedded software? =====

You can either follow the procedure below, either use the WMC dashboard or use the Magic link.

==== Software upgrade via SSH  ====

Download the last 3.1 megapackage from the [[.gateway_sw_3.1|Resource page]] \\ 

For a software upgrade on KerOS products (Wirnet iBTS and Wirnet iFemtocell), the megapackage need to be deflated twice in order to get ipk packages.

Then apply the software update procedure defined above: \\

==== Software upgrade via USB  ====

A ready to use package is available from the [[.gateway_sw_3.1#specific_procedure_to_follow_for_usb_usage|Resource page]]. \\
Just add your specific OpenVPN secret packages in the /vpn_packages/ directory. \\
Then apply the software update procedure defined above: \\

==== Software upgrade via the dashboard ====

Drag and Drop the megapackage in the Software Update area if you decide to use Software Upgrade feature from the WMC dashboard. \\


==== Software upgrade via the Magic Link ====
