==== Type of casing ====
2 types of casing are available:

  * The compact casing: this casing can embed 1 LoRa module. 
  * The full casing: this casing can embed up to 4 LoRa modules.

==== Compact casing ====

This polycarbonate casing can embed 3 modules:
  * A CPU module (mandatory)
  * A WAN module (optional)
  * A LoRa module (mandatory). 

It also embedded an internal LTE/GNSS combo antenna.

==== Full casing ====

This aluminium casing can embed up to 6 modules:
  * A CPU module (mandatory)
  * A WAN Module (optional)
  * At least one LoRa module (mandatory). 
  * Additional LoRa modules (optional)

LTE and GNSS antennas are externals. N-SMB adapters are used as RF interfaces for the antennas. 

=== “4 LoRa modules” configuration ===

In the particular case of “4 LoRa modules” configuration, a specific “front-end” board and mechanical lid are used to combine the four “LoRa modules” together. \\
In its maximum size configuration, the Wirnet iBTS can then integrate six modules: one “CPU module”, one “WAN module” and four “LoRa modules”.

===== Wirnet iBTS accessories =====

As part of the Wirnet iBTS modularity, many accessories can be provided for configuration purpose: 

  * GNSS antennas 
  * LTE antennas 
  * LoRa antennas 
  * RF cavity filters: The purpose of cavity filters is to avoid saturation and desensitization of the LoRa receiver due to co-located base stations. In some countries the use of a cavity filter is mandatory.
  * PoE injectors 
  * Surge protections: In a harsh environment, additional protections must be used to improve lightning immunity. Find more information in the [[wiki:ibts:installation_ibts|recommendations]] chapter.
