====== QuickStart of Wanesy Management Cockpit ====== ===== Documentation ===== Wanesy Management Cockpit (online) API Web services documentation (online) ===== Zero Touch provisioning (ZTP) feature ===== Zero Touch provisioning (ZTP) ===== Connecting the gateways to the Wanesy Management Cockpit ===== ==== Gateways version ==== The first thing to do is to **install the software** that allows the gateway to connect to the Wanesy Management Cockpit.\\ The minimum version to use is 5.9. Check firmware version on a gateway\\ Firmware update and configuration\\ Quick link to software\\ ==== Create a new user ==== To create a user, you need to fill the following information: * **E-Mail** (mandatory): enter the E-Mail address of the user * **Customer/Role** (mandatory): define the role of the user (see below for details about roles and associated permissions) === Create a new user === When a new role is assigned to a user, that user must log out and relogin for it to take effect. In case of multiple customers visible (case of CHANNEL_ADMINISTRATOR), you can associate different roles on different customers to a user among the 5 following roles. \\ In case of unique customer visible (case of CUSTOMER_ADMINISTRATOR), you can associate different roles on this unique customer to a user among the 4 following roles. The following roles can be assigned to a user: * **SERVICE_VIEWER** is a role for observing the network status * **SERVICE_OPERATOR** is a role for monitoring the network * **SERVICE_ADMINISTRATOR** is a role for maintaining the network in operational condition (can create/update/delete elements) * **CUSTOMER_ADMINISTRATOR** is a role for managing the user accounts to access to the customer platform * **CHANNEL_ADMINISTRATOR** is a role for managing the user accounts of the customer administrators The permissions (on API and WebUI) by role are detailed in the table below:\\ === Validate a Cockpit account === ==== Create a group ==== Your gateways can be grouped into groups, this a logical regrouping.\\ You can for instance group all gateways that share the same country/region/city, or which are of the same hardware model.\\ By default, the number of groups is limited to 100 per customer. To create a group, you need to fill the following information: * **Customer** (mandatory): select the customer your group should belong [ONLY APPLICABLE IF YOU HAVE ACCESS RIGHTS ON MULTIPLE CUSTOMERS] * **Name** (mandatory): enter a name for your group * **Description** (optional): enter a description for your group * **Alerting** (disabled by default): enable to declare your group as an alerting one === Create a new group === ==== Declare a Gateway ==== To declare a gateway, you need to fill the following information: * **Customer** (mandatory): select the customer your gateway should belong to [ONLY APPLICABLE IF YOU HAVE ACCESS RIGHTS ON MULTIPLE CUSTOMERS] * **Gateway** EUI (mandatory): a global end-device ID in IEEE EUI64 address space that uniquely identifies the gateway - see How to obtain the gateway EUI * **Name** (mandatory): enter a name for your gateway * **Description** (optional): enter a description for your gateway * **Groups** (optional): select the group(s) your gateway should belong to (the groups must have been created beforehand) * **Position** (optional): three options are possible to configure the position of your gateway * Set the position marker on the map * Manually enter the coordinates of your gateway (latitude/longitude/ground height) * Click on "Detect location" button to use browser capability for an auto-detection of the location By default, the number of groups is limited to 10 per gateway. A gateway can only belong to one alerting group at a time. === Declare a Gateway === ==== Wanesy Management Overview ====
