The megapackage upgrades all mandatory packages onto your system (BSCC, SNMP, LoRa HAL, Packet Forwarder), except for the OpenVPN package.
This package preserves any change to your current network configuration (VPN and GSM/ETH configuration). This megapackage can be used as well remotely (from WMC dashboard for instance) and locally (USB, debug link, SSH).
It is recommended to use the MEGAPACKAGE.
If you never installed any OpenVPN certificate on your gateway, you should ask for an OpenVPN certificate to support@kerlink.fr
and install it on your system. In this case, you need to install all the packages via a local access (USB, debug link, SSH) using the compatibility matrix below.
If your BSCC and SNMP packages are WMC 2.0 compatible (e.g. v1.13), you must first install the WMC 2.1 packages before using the megapackage.
If you have a 2.x firmware, please use the create_dota_2x_wirnet3.sh
script to migrate to v3.1 firmware version
Before installing the megapackage, you should remove the old libloragw library by installing the following special package on your system :
For iFemtoCell: libloragw-remove-backup.ipk
For iBTS: libloragw2-remove-backup.ipk
Don't be afraid by the following message: that simply indicates that the package is not present in the backup storage:
Remove package from libloragw-remove.ipk: ERROR (255)
Product | Megapackage |
---|---|
Wirnet iBTS | ran_gateway_lpbs_v2.2.1.tar.gz |
Wirnet Station | dota_ran_gateway_v2.2.2.tar.gz |
Wirnet iFemtoCell | ran_gateway_wifc_v2.2.1.tar.gz |
To update your system, you can use the drag&drop software update feature from the WMC dashboard interface.
For Keros sytems (Wirnet iBTS and Wirnet iFemtoCell), don't forget to uncompress the mega-package before upgrading the system!
For example:
tar xzvf *ran_gateway*.tar.gz
If the gateway does not meet the prerequisites of the megapackage or if you want to, the packages can be manually installed onto the system as specified in the compatibility matrix:
