====== Wanesy™ SPN firmware upgrade ======

This page concern the firmware upgrade. It is only dedicated to gateways with the Wanesy SPN firmware already installed.

===== From firmware 2.0.3 (iFemtoCell only) =====

From firmware 2.0.3 upgrade can be done from:
  * Web user interface (recommended)
  * USB
  * Local FTP server

2 files available to upgrade in [[.:..:support:resources#spn_firmware_to_install_spn|resources]] pages:
  * ''liveburner_x.y.z-spn_klk-wifc.ipk.gpg'': to upgrade from SPN with data loss (recommended) (Wanesy SPN already installed)
  * ''fwupgrade_x.y.z-spn_klk-wifc.ipk.gpg'': to upgrade from SPN without data loss (Wanesy SPN already installed)

<note important>
Once the loading bar is full, a few seconds are required to see the ''Reboot gateway'' button
</note>

**Impacts on your LoRa network:**
  * Configuration parameters are not impacted by the firmware upgrade **except the RX configuration parameters**. LoRa RX parameters need to be reconfigured after the upgrade
  * Tx power may be lost after upgrade
  * Fleet configuration is not impacted by the firmware upgrade
  * All SPN parameters and the fleet can be uploaded/downloaded (files in JSON format) to configure/backup the gateway

==== Upgrade from web user interface (recommended) ====

  - Go to ''Administration => Update => Software update''
  - Drag and drop firmware file
  - Click on ''Update gateway'' button
  - Once file uploaded, click on new ''Reboot gateway'' button
