===== What is Wanesy Wave? =====

Wanesy™ Wave is a LoRaWAN indoor product including both Wi-Fi and BLE (Bluetooth low energy) tracking technologies with a LoRaWAN™ backhaul. It counts and monitors Wi-Fi and/or Bluetooth assets (smartphones, BLE tags…) in real time, and is perfectly adapted for facility management or industry applications.

===== Is it an end-device or a gateway? =====

It can be defined as an anchor (interface between Wi-Fi or BLE devices and LoRaWAN™ gateways). Technically speaking, it is a device in a LoRaWAN™ network. It needs to be declared on a network server and it sends LoRaWAN™ frames.

===== What kind of application is proposed? =====

Wanesy Wave has 3 different applications:
  * Asset tracking (standard Kerlink application): BLE scan / monitoring and Wi-Fi count / sniffer.
  * Universal Contact Tracing (in partnership with [[https://www.microshare.io/|Microshare]]): BLE upload data.
  * In-Stores Analytics (in partnership with [[https://www.smart-traffik.io|Smart Traffik]]): Mac Address scan.

===== What’s Wanesy Wave coverage? =====

In indoor environments like offices, we can observe a 10 to 15 meters radius coverage for both Wi-Fi & BLE technologies. \\
In bigger areas like open-spaces or a workshop, the radius can go up to 25 to 30 meters. 

===== What is the default application mode? =====

Default application is asset tracking (standard Kerlink application) with BLE scan only:
  * A 30 seconds BLE scan is done every 40 seconds
  * Confirmation of all BLE tags within the zone every 5 minutes and no active filters on majors (iBeacon).
  * A LoRaWAN™ frame is sent every 40 seconds or more if there are new BLE iBeacon data available.
Wi-Fi count/sniffer is not activated by default. Wi-Fi count/sniffer feature activation can be triggered thanks to a downlink message. The Wanesy Wave will save its configuration and restart in the new mode. **IMPORTANT NOTICE** : The WiFi sniffer mode can be configured to transfer the real MAC addresses it has captured rather than their anonymized version. Deactivating the addresses hashing function may infringe General Data Protection Regulations in some countries or regions.
