To create a user, you need to fill the following information:
E-Mail (mandatory): enter the E-Mail address of the user
Customer/Role (mandatory): define the role of the user (see below for details about roles and associated permissions)
Create a new user
When a new role is assigned to a user, that user must log out and relogin for it to take effect.
In case of multiple customers visible (case of CHANNEL_ADMINISTRATOR), you can associate different roles on different customers to a user among the 5 following roles.
In case of unique customer visible (case of CUSTOMER_ADMINISTRATOR), you can associate different roles on this unique customer to a user among the 4 following roles.
The following roles can be assigned to a user:
SERVICE_VIEWER is a role for observing the network status
SERVICE_OPERATOR is a role for monitoring the network
SERVICE_ADMINISTRATOR is a role for maintaining the network in operational condition (can create/update/delete elements)
CUSTOMER_ADMINISTRATOR is a role for managing the user accounts to access to the customer platform
CHANNEL_ADMINISTRATOR is a role for managing the user accounts of the customer administrators

Create a group
Your gateways can be grouped into groups, this a logical regrouping.
You can for instance group all gateways that share the same country/region/city, or which are of the same hardware model.
By default, the number of groups is limited to 100 per customer.
To create a group, you need to fill the following information:
Customer (mandatory): select the customer your group should belong [ONLY APPLICABLE IF YOU HAVE ACCESS RIGHTS ON MULTIPLE CUSTOMERS]
Name (mandatory): enter a name for your group
Description (optional): enter a description for your group
Alerting (disabled by default): enable to declare your group as an alerting one

Declare a Gateway
To declare a gateway, you need to fill the following information:
Customer (mandatory): select the customer your gateway should belong to [ONLY APPLICABLE IF YOU HAVE ACCESS RIGHTS ON MULTIPLE CUSTOMERS]
Gateway EUI (mandatory): a global end-device ID in IEEE EUI64 address space that uniquely identifies the gateway - see How to obtain the gateway EUI
Name (mandatory): enter a name for your gateway
Description (optional): enter a description for your gateway
Groups (optional): select the group(s) your gateway should belong to (the groups must have been created beforehand)
Position (optional): three options are possible to configure the position of your gateway
Set the position marker on the map
Manually enter the coordinates of your gateway (latitude/longitude/ground height)
Click on “Detect location” button to use browser capability for an auto-detection of the location
By default, the number of groups is limited to 10 per gateway.
A gateway can only belong to one alerting group at a time.
