To use a mote with SPN, the mote and the gateway need to use similar parameters. Thus, both the mote and the gateway need to have at least the following parameters configured:

• class (A or C)
• Type (Over The Air Activation, Acitvation By personalization)
• Pairing IDs (Device adress, network session key, …)
• Response window slot and frequency
• Regional parameters (The LoRa protocol depends on the region)
• Rx frequencies

A few kind of motes use pre-defined parameters. In this case, only the station needs to be configured (with the same parameters).
