Depending on the firmware version, the way to uninstall SPN changes.

To uninstall SPN and come back to a nominal firmware, a special ipk package must be used. This package is available in the Resources page.

• To remove the SPN firmware use the SPN upgrade process with this special ipk package: liveburner-nodep_3.1.3_klk-wifc.ipk
• Once SPN is uninstalled, it is strongly advised to upgrade the gateway with the last available firmware of the iFemtoCell wiki. The procedure is available here.

It is not possible to uninstall the SPN firmware from SPN 2.X.X to Wirnet iFemtoCell X.X.X in one step, because SPN firmware 2.X.X only accepts Kerlink signed firmware (iFemtoCell default firmware are not signed). Therefore, to uninstall SPN, a signed firmware of Wirnet iFemtoCell 3.3.3 must be used as an intermediate step. This firmware is available in the Resources page.

In other words, this method is not possible:

• Wirnet iFemtoCell/SPN firmware 2.0.3 to Wirnet iFemtoCell firmware 3.3.3

But this one is possible:

• Wirnet iFemtoCell/SPN firmware 2.0.3 to signed Wirnet iFemtoCell firmware 3.3.3 to Wirnet iFemtoCell firmware 3.3.3

Detailed steps:

• To remove the SPN firmware use the SPN upgrade process with the signed firmware.
• Once the signed firmware is installed, the gateway must be upgraded with one of the firmware available on the iFemtoCell wiki. The procedure is available here.
