Restrictions

Configuration
- BNM frequency configuration files depending on the board (bnm-868.conf, bnm-923.conf, bnm-915.conf) are not kept by default when upgrading the gateway.
SMS Feature
- SMS manager command doesn't work on sierra_0 on Dual WAN iBTS.
- SMS is not working with dongle E3372s with some SIMs
System
- Sometimes, the measurement is not accurate at +/-2dB.
Update
- IPK update status is in error for all packages if only one package installation failed.
- Backup restore does not reinstall Wirnet iBTS and Wirnet iFemtocell packages if the product is upgraded from v4.0.
- Stock restore does not work if the product is upgraded from v4.0.
Network
- Sometimes, no default route by the OpenVPN interface is present.
- Network monitoring does not restart a service if a DNS problem occurs
WiFi
- Impossible to connect with an Android system to Access Point WiFi of the gateway.
- No fallback on WiFi.
- Some instabilities with the WiFi interfaces.
Web Interface
- When product with static IP configuration is upgraded from v4.0 to 4.1, the IPv4 configuration shows AUTOMATIC (DHCP) instead of MANUAL

Compatibility

Hardware

Wirnet iBTS:
- Fully compatible with Wirnet iBTS ATc03 architecture and above.
- Partially compatible with Wirnet iBTS ATa01 and ATb02 architecture (issue with reset Button).
Wirnet iFemtoCell:
- Fully compatible with Wirnet iFemtoCell BEb02, BEc03, BQa01 and BPa01 architecture (architecture can be retrieved from the final product ID).
- Partially compatible with Wirnet iFemtoCell BEa01 architecture.

Wirnet iStation:
- Fully compatible with Wirnet iStation CFb02, CGb02, CHb02 architecture and above.

Software

Compatible with Wirnet™ i-series gateways with Kerlink Production fuses or without any fuses flashed.
Simple update (keros.ipk) is incompatible with firmware older than v4.0 → Update in v4.0 using of liveburner package is MANDATORY.
Update from v1.x, v2.x or v3.x to v4.1 is not compatible, it is MANDATORY that the firmware is in firmware v4.0.
ProvenCore firmware and utilities (uploader) changed as of v3.1.0, and files to be uploaded to the ProvenCore have to be processed by pnrcipher before uploading.

Due to multiple KerOS changes, direct update in v4.1 IS NOT COMPATIBLE from firmware v3.x, v2.x and v1.x.
It is required first to update the gateway in v4.0 with the liveburner to be able to update it after with the KerOS package v4.1.

Delivery

The firmware is released in two formats: KerOS and Liveburner.

KerOS : Update the Firmware
To update the firmware from v4.0 to v4.1, the standard update procedure can be used. See system upgrade page.

Liveburner : Reset the Firmware of the product

Update stock restore version with FW 4.1.6.
Reset the default password on your gateway.
Erase the whole partition to reinstall the firmware.

Download

The iFemtoCell and the iFemtoCell-evolution are 2 different products. Don't use this firmware with the iFemtoCell-evolution, it will break the gateway.
