===== Zero Touch provisioning (ZTP) feature =====

The KerOS FW 4.3.3 integrates the Zero Touch provisioning (ZTP) feature.\\
When you receive the gateway, you don’t need anymore to install software or to configure it, it is plug&play: you connect the gateway to the network with an Ethernet connection and the gateway will be automatically self-provisioned and configured for your needs. \\

Supported configuration includes:
  * Connection to Kerlink Wanesy Management Center (WMC).
  * 4G backhaul configuration.
  * Chirpstack or TTN configuration.

ZTP feature is available when the gateway boots for the first time with an available internet connection.
<note important>The gateways already deployed or upgraded with KerOS FW 4.3.3 are not concerned by ZTP feature, only the gateways natively produced with KerOS FW 4.3.3 (and later versions) are concerned.</note>
<note warning>The gateway must remain powered up and connected to Internet with Ethernet during the entire ZTP process.</note>

To enable ZTP on a gateway, it must be pre-declared on Kerlink ZTP Management server.

Connection to the gateway can either be done via:

===== Firmware update and configuration =====

<note> A simplified upgrade method is proposed to configure the Wirnet™ Gateways with the Wanesy™ Management Center. This method is called the [[http://wikikerlink.fr/wanesy-ran/doku.php?id=wiki:wiki3:magic_link|Magic Link]].

The Magic Link is a command line, based on ''wget'' that automatically downloads the required embedded software, configures the VPN connection, configures the packet forwarder with the adapted default configuration, all in one step.</note>

<note warning>
The iFemtoCell and the iFemtoCell-evolution are 2 different products.
Compatible firmware for iFemtoCell-evolution are firmwares 4.2.2 and above. Older firmware **MUST not** be installed on iFemtoCell-evolution. It will brick the gateway.

=== Upgrade with configuration lost (if the gateway is new, use this case) ===

  * Go on the KerOS firmware last version page:  [[https://wikikerlink.fr/wirnet-productline/doku.php?id=wiki:firmware:lastversion|click here]]. 
  * On the bottom of the page download the **liveburner IPK** file. This upgrade will factory reset the gateway and upgrade it with the last version. The current configuration is erased.

=== Upgrade with configuration preservation ===

  * On the bottom of the page download the **KerOS IPK** file.

==== Update the firmware:====

Update of the gateway's firmware can be done over Network, USB or Web interface. 
Use the previously downloaded IPK file (liveburner or KerOS) and follow the indication of the dedicated page Software updates:  [[https://wikikerlink.fr/wirnet-productline/doku.php?id=wiki:keros_custo:sw_updates|click here]].

===== Packet Forwarder activation and configuration =====

Kerlink provides a packet forwarder (CPF) compatible with Wirnet iFemtoCell-evolution gateways. A packet forwarder is the main program of a LoRa gateway. It has to be installed and configured to implement a LoRaWAN network. 

==== Packet forwarder activation ====

Starting with Wirnet gateways firmware version v4.3.0, packet forwarder is included in the firmware. The CPF does not need to be installed. The CPF needs to be enable.   * Download the **“lorad”** and **“lorafwd”** .ipk packages files available at the end of the page.

==== Packet Forwarder configuration ====

Once the packet forwarder is installed on the gateway, it must be configured to be functional.

  * On the CPF configuration page look at the chapter "How to configure and monitor the packet forwarder?"
