Documentation

Connection to the LoRaWAN network

The Wanesy Wave is a Class A LoRaWAN end-device. OTAA (Over-The-Air Activation) join method is supported.

The connection of the Wanesy Wave to a LoRaWAN network can be done by following steps below:

  1. Retrieve the Wanesy Wave LoRaWAN credentials (DevEUI, AppEUI, AppKey). Those can be requested to your supplier by providing the Wanesy Wave Product ID.
  2. Declare the Wanesy Wave on the LoRa Network Server (OTAA join procedure).
  3. Install the Wanesy Wave in a LoRaWAN gateway coverage field, properly configured with the LoRa Network Server.
  4. Plug the micro USB power supply in the Wanesy Wave micro USB connector.
  5. Check the green LED is static (power supply presence).
  6. Check the red LED is static at startup.
  7. The red LED will be switched off once the Wanesy Wave has join the LoRaWAN Network.
  8. Default application is running and a LoRaWAN™ frame is sent every 40 seconds or more if there are new BLE iBeacon data available.
